The X-Line Chair was originally designed by Niels Jørgen Haugesen in the late 1970s — a product of the high-tech movement, built from thin metal wire with a precision steel construction that gives it both flexibility and strength. The distinctive X-structure at the back is not decorative; it is the engineering. HAY brought it back into production as part of their collection of timeless, original designs, and it remains as relevant now as it was then.
