HAY Result Chair Oak/Steel EX DISPLAY WAS £345

The Result Chair has a history worth knowing. Designed by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld in the 1950s while working at Ahrend, it was built around a thin cutout steel sheet base that gave it an unusual combination of lightness, flexibility, and strength. HAY relaunched it in collaboration with Ahrend, keeping the original logic intact.

This version has an oak seat and backrest on a steel base — warm material against industrial structure, which is exactly the point. It works in a dining room, a study, or a meeting room with equal ease.
