They are filled with gold leaf used for Buddhist worship. The Buddhists are going to have them blessed by the monks in the temples. Baan discovered this bracelet and created a whole collection in 2010 based on this traditional piece of jewelry and offers many models: copper, twisted, silver, braid, thick and thin models.
