FRITZ HANSEN Lilium Table
- Description
The Lilium Table by Fritz Hansen is easy on the eye and a pleasure to use. The light but strong frame in stainless steel seems to prolong the oblong tabletop all the way to the ground. The tabletop is made of teak planks placed lengthwise to make the table look even longer – with plenty of room for the four to six persons that the table seats.
Fritz Hansen’s Lily outdoor collection is developed together with the renowned architect company BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group. For the outdoor collection they were inspired by the waterfronts and industrial heritage of the city Aalborg while also referencing the casual interactions of social gatherings in public spaces.
The collection is defined by combining the teak plank elements and the stainless steel, culminating with the 'x' detail at the base. The wood slats sit elegantly on top of the frame, hiding all hardware connections while creating the illusion that they are floating in place. Where needed, the teak is elegantly curved and shaped to provide extra comfort. The proportions of the lounge chair are slightly widened, adding flexibility to the way it is used. The extra space is a perfect resting spot for a book or cup of coffee. The furniture has been designed to either be combined as a set or function as standalone.
The Lily outdoor collection also includes a LOUNGE CHAIR, LOUNGE TABLE AND DINING SET
