Crafted to capture the passion of traditional craft, the iconic profile of the Loveseat combines classic and mid-century style

The iconic profile of the Loveseat is a combination of classic British furniture and Mid-century style, giving the Windsor chair a contemporary makeover. The smooth plank formed seat made from elm features subtle curved indentation along the top to provide a comfortable sit for a number of guests. Meanwhile, a traditional spindle backrest is formed from a row of individual beech poles, each turned to create a soft feel that securely wedges into the frame before joining to the gently bowed top bar. Four splayed and tapered legs are joined by supporting bars, with each piece of the loveseat in combination creating a solid chair that can easily accommodate two to three people around the dinner table.

Born 1888 in Italy, Lucian Ercolani moved to London with his family in the 1890s before studying design and furniture making. Having worked within the design teams for what would later become Parker Knoll and G-Plan, in 1920 Ercolani founded Ercol and began producing the company's characteristic blend of contemporary design and traditional British craft.
